Principal’s Corner

Dear Families,

We’ve had a great opening to our school year!  Thanks for your participation in our opening events and preparing our students for a successful start.

Our first day included a morning filled with meeting teachers and becoming acclimated to teams and rooms.  The afternoon included an all-school assembly featuring Fish the Magish!  In this forty-five minute program, Mike Fisher (Fish the Magish) helped our students look at the very serious subject of “bullying” in a fun and magical way.  The students were entertained, especially when Mr. Churchill appeared to have a face lift!  The serious message of bullying included the definition of a bully and the clear message that we will not tolerate students behaving as bullies at MCMS.  The program was followed up with ice cream treats provided by our PTO.

Please consider having a discussion about the opening of our school year, including the importance of treating others with respect.

We hope to see all of you on the evening of September 12 for our first Book Fair, Band Booster Chicken Dinner, and our Team Open House.
